The "NSP Pgh Chapter" is the local chapter of the national Network of
Spiritual Progressives. The overall goal of this organization is to
reintroduce essential components of peace consciousness and deeper spiritual
meaning into our political discourse in America.
What if our politicians and our community leaders were primordially driven
by a bottom line based on core love and compassion for all the people and
promoted the issues that really mattered?
What if we elected to office only people who were deeply driven towards
those goals?
Below you will see a list of events that the NSP is helping promote. And,
although not listed below, you can join the NSP at the Convergence
Celebration event on Sunday Oct 8, 5-9PM at Riverview Park.

Interfaith Power & Light is putting the spotlight on global warming this
week with a national event. Faith communities around the U.S. are sponsoring
a viewing of An Inconvenient Truth, a movie that gives voice to a crisis
that impacts us all: global warming. See:
http://www.climatecrisis.net/aboutthefilm
There is nothing more inspiring or more effective than Americans united
behind a cause. We're the most technologically advanced, highly educated,
and wealthiest country on the planet. As a society, we've overcome
tremendous challenges and done "the impossible" over and over again.
Reversing global warming is not a political issue. It's a practical and
realistic proposal. It's our civic responsibility. If we, our children, and
our children's children want to continue living on Earth, it's an
imperative. And we have to start today.
We are proud to announce three showings this weekend in various locations:
Tonight: Oct. 6 An Inconvenient Truth - Carnegie 7PM
3rd Street Yoga
223 3rd Avenue, 2nd Floor, Carnegie

Stillness is your essential nature. What is stillness? The inner space or
awareness in which the words on this page are being perceived and become
thoughts. Without that awareness, there would be no perception, no thoughts,
no world.
You are that awareness, disguised as a person.
